  • Dr. Li receives NSERC Discovery Grant titled “Development of active loading technologies for encapsulating highly charged molecules into liposomes” (2017-2022, $140,000)

 

  • Dr. Shyh-Dar Li has been invited to join the College of Reviewers, CIHR. The vision of the College is to establish an internationally recognized, centrally managed resource to support excel­lence in peer review for diverse and emerging health research and knowledge translation activities. The College is intended to be a national resource that, over time, will serve the peer review needs of CIHR and its partners.

 

  • Wei-Lun Tang, PhD candidate, has been named a 2017 recipient of a CIHR Doctoral Research Award. This 3-year award is worth $30,000 per year plus a research allowance of $5,000 per year.

 

 

  • Congratulations to Wei-lun Tang, a graduate student in Dr. Shyh-Dar Li’s lab. He is the selected recipient of the AAPS UBC Student Chapter Travel Award (Value: $300) for the 2017 AAPS National Biotechnology in San Diego from May 1-3, where he will be presenting a poster on “Development of the Solvent-Assisted Active Loading Technology (SALT) to Formulate Poorly Water Soluble Drugs into Liposomes for Improved Delivery”.

 

  • Wei-Lun Tang received the 2017 AAPS Travelship to attend the 2017 AAPS National Biotechnology Conference ($500 USD) .

 

  • Dr. Shyh-Dar Li received Canada Foundation for Innovation and BC Knowledge Development Fund (total $250,000) for establishing a pilot suite for nanomedicine scale-up manufacturing.
